Pam Lang

My career has been in sales, training, and team management. I've run locations, coached struggling teams back to the top, and traveled the country training people on a new CRM. The throughline is the same in every role: I find where the work is breaking down and build the system that fixes it.

The common thread throughout my career has been sales, managing teams, technology, and systems. I've sold over the phone and face to face. I've built and run teams. I've trained people on new tools until they could teach their own teams to use them. When a process is clunky or a team is stuck, I'm able to map out what's slowing us down and build something better. Here are a couple of examples of that.

A couple of things I built

The kind of work I'm looking for

Sales

I get hooked on sales because of the leaderboards. It's hard to feel like an impostor when you're sitting at the top of the board, and the paycheck that comes with it doesn't hurt either.

Managing and building teams

Building and training teams is some of my favorite work. I've run teams, coached struggling ones back to the top, and trained people on new tools until they could turn around and teach their own teams to use them. What I care about most is helping each person get better at their role.

Technology and AI

A few years ago it became clear that AI was going to shape the way we all work, so I spent the last three years heavily engaged in studying it. I'm hoping to find a role where I can use AI in my day-to-day work, whether that's building tools for a team or setting up systems for a department.

Systems and flow

Setting up systems and spotting what's breaking the flow comes naturally to me. Where are people getting stuck? What's slowing the work down, and what can I put in place to fix it? That's the work I'm best at.

Whatever the role, I bring all four of these with me. I'm glad to be on the sales floor; you can't lead a team well without knowing the job from the inside. And I'm just as happy building the systems and tools that help everyone hit their numbers. The best results come when all of it works together.
